A 35 year old father of three has been run over by trailer with registration number WR 522-12.
Muhammed Sumaila reportedly died instantly.
The accident happened at a town called Nnoboam located between Konongo and Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.
Eyewitnesses say the deceased tried to overtake the trailer and bumped into a Tata school bus which was parked by the roadside.
He was said to have bounced off his motor bike, fell on the road and got ran over by the trailer which was behind him.
Muhammed Sumaila was on his way to Dunkwa from Odumase, his wife told Multi-TV. He is a galamsey operator.
His body has been deposited at the Konongo Government Hospital morgue.
The driver of the trailer, Fusieni Alhassan is in protective custody at the Konongo Division of police Motor Traffic and Transport Unit.
Meanwhile, family members of the deceased are reportedly threatening to lynch the driver for killing their beloved relative.
