The Ghana campus of the Webster University has held its 2nd  graduation at Cantonments in Accra.

Also known as  commencement ceremony, was attended by the renown a playwright, Mr James Ebo Whyte, Mr Paul Taylor, Senior Commercial Officer at the United State Embassy in Accra, Mr Nick Amarteifio, member of the university’s management board and Sheila Naa-Boamah, CEO of the Ghana Students Loan Trust Fund.

Webster University is touted as the only Tier 1, private, non-profit U.S. university that provides network of international residential campuses with robust online learning program

 Although the university has been operating in Ghana for less than three years it can boast of two successful graduations for the Ghana campus.

Six students who studied Master of Arts in International Relations and  Master of Business Administration programmes were presented with honors.

Campus Director, Christa Sanders in her speech reminded the graduates that they have become part of an elite network of more than 175,000 Webster University alumni from around the world.

 She emphasized that they are not only distinguished global citizens but they have been well prepared to meet the challenges and demands of the 21st century.

She challenged them to become ‘game changers’ and global ambassadors by challenging the status quo.

The Ghana campus opened in September 2013, and welcomed graduate and undergraduate students in March and August 2014, respectively.

Webster (Ghana) offers Master’s degrees in Business Administration and International Relations and Bachelor’s degrees in Management, International Relations, and Media Communications.

 The university was founded in 1915 and is based in St. Louis Missouri with American-style traditional campuses spanning 4 continents (North America, Europe, Asia and Africa) and 9 countries (Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Thailand, China, UK, US, the Netherlands, and Ghana).
