The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has indicated its readiness to replicate what it calls the biblical David and Goliath contest with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Bole-Bamboi parliamentary seat.
The party explained that the NDC, which portrays itself as the strongest in the constituency, will be crushed in the December polls like how David, the young Shepherd, crushed and disgraced Goliath.

According to the party, the constituents have bought into their policies and will remind the NDC that they are still living in past glory.
"Oh, yes. Just wait and see how the NPP will replicate the biblical David and Goliath contest to the NDC for the Bole-Bamboi seat because we are not making noise or holding on to any past political glory here in Bole, but God is going to honour and transform our efforts into victory" Mr Issah Mohammed the NPP Savannah Regional Secretary, noted.

Issah Mohammed said this during a health walk by the party in Bamboi, a suburb of the Bole District in the Savannah Region.
Mr Mohammed said despite the NDC's long hold on the constituency with former president John Dramani Mahama as an indigene, the party (NPP) has put in place enough strategies and tactics to snatch the seat from the NDC.

The Regional Secretary led the walk through the principal streets of Bamboi before addressing supporters, including market Women.
"My dear people, the New Patriotic Party is known for developing and enhancing the potential of people. And it's clear that our opponents, the NDC, for more than a decade, that's from 1992 up to date you have been voting for the NDC with nothing to show. They have taken you for granted because they say whether they give you development or not, you will surely vote for them.

But all that we in NPP are telling you today is that let's use this election to prove the NDC wrong.
On his part, the Savannah Regional New Patriotic Party Youth organizer, Raphael Akati expressed the party's gratitude to constituents during the last election and appealed to them to endorse the party flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and the Parliamentary candidate, Raphael Abolosum Kumah.
"Just take a look at the entire constituency and you will see nothing but agree with us that the NDC has neglected the people here. Yes, the NDC has taken you for granted and left you out in development. But you can trust us with what we have done so far", he explained.

The Parliamentary candidate of Bole-Bamboi, Raphael Kumah, who was born and raised in Bamboi town; appealed to electorates to consider the good work of the party and give them another chance to do more.
He insisted the constituency would be far better off under the NPP than the NDC, and urged them to reject the NDC.
