The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Wenchi Constituency, Alhaji Seidu Haruna, has re-echoed the need for Zongo youth in Wenchi to remain calm as the Bono Regional Security Council (REGSEC) investigates the sudden death of the late Adamu Wahab otherwise known as “Adamu Soldier”.
He further commended both the Wenchi Traditional Council and the leadership of Wenchi Zango Community for the restoration of an easy-calm atmosphere in Wenchi.
Alhaji Haruna was speaking to JoyNews on the sidelines of this year’s Eid-Ul-Adha celebration at Wenchi the Bono Region.

The Wenchi MP emphasised that the development in the constituency will only be possible if peace is maintained hence the decision to call the Zongo youth to a truce is in the right direction.
He, however, urged the Wenchi police and REGSEC to fast-track investigation on the case adding “it is also important that the autopsy report from the Wenchi Methodist Hospital be accepted by all parties because it will aid the healing process and thereby ensure the peace we are all chasing”.

Sharing fond memories of the late Adamu Soldier, Alhaji Haruna encouraged the bereaved family to be cautious about the kind of information they give out concerning the progress of the investigation by the police.
It will be recalled that a week ago, some irate Zongo youth in Wenchi destroyed the residence and washing bay belonging to one Nana Ameyaw on suspicion of being the mastermind behind the death of the farmer.
The lifeless body of the well-known 55-year-old man was found on his farm at Wenchi on Monday, July 11 under some bizarre circumstances.
