Afropop star Wendy Shay is set to grace the stage at the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, adding a powerful live performance to Ghana’s biggest celebration of DJ culture and music.
The awards ceremony comes off on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at The Palms Convention Centre, starting at 7 p.m.
The event will be broadcast live on Joy Prime, giving fans across the country a front-row experience of one of the most anticipated nights in Ghanaian entertainment.
Wendy Shay’s appearance is expected to bring an electrifying edge to the programme, merging top-tier DJ sets with the star power and stage presence of one of Ghana’s most influential female artistes.
This year’s competition is shaping up to be intense. DJ Sly King leads the nominations with eight, including DJ of the Year and Best Mobile DJ, while reigning DJ of the Year DJ Lord OTB follows closely with seven nominations, setting up a fierce showdown between the two heavyweights.
Organised by Merqury Republic, the 2025 edition celebrates creativity, innovation, and the community that continues to expand Ghana’s vibrant DJ culture.
The final nomination list, spanning radio DJs, club DJs, event DJs, and turntable innovators, was selected by the Ghana DJ Awards Voting Board & Academy, made up of respected figures across music, media, marketing, and the creative arts.
Adding a stylish twist, organisers have announced that the best-dressed guest will win an exclusive getaway to Aqua Safari Resort, courtesy of Wakanow, rewarding attendees who show up in standout fashion.
