Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Communications has dared any labour group to sincerely consider whether they are worse off under the new Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS), than they were under the previous salary structures.
Dr. Omane Boamah, a discussant on Metro TV's Good Morning Ghana Tuesday said that, he was confident that 99.9% of public sector workers will agree that they are better off under the SSSS.
He revealed that the public sector wage bill has jumped from 2.5bn Cedis to 6bn Cedis because of the SSSS.
"Who can look into the face of God and say he is worse off?".
He said he was glad that at least all the demonstrations that have engulfed the NDC administration, were not because salaries have not been paid.
He said that Cabinet last Tuesday approved guidelines for payment of premiums..
All these gestures, the Minister believed, show that the administration was committed to addressing public sector remuneration.
