A 22 year old factory hand at Darling Company on the Spintex Road in Accra has been arrested by the police for inflicting razor wounds on her boyfriend and stealing his Motorola phone valued at ¢1.6m.
ASP Charles Ziorklui, Sakumono District Commander, told the Spectator that on December 31, last year about 9 p.m. Christopher Ackah, the supposed boyfriend of Nancy Lago was in a drinking spot near the Kasapreko factory at Lashibi with two ladies.
Whilst drinking, Ackah put his two Mobile phones on the table and all of a sudden Nancy entered the bar took one of the mobile phones and took to her heels.
Ackah chased her but to no avail so he came back to the bar but few minutes later, Nancy came back and when confronted by Ackah, a misunderstanding allegedly ensued between them and Nancy out of anger took a razor and inflicted multiple wounds on Ackah’s ribs.
Nancy was immediately arrested by the people and handed over to the police.
In her statement, Nancy admitted taking the phone and said Ackah had impregnated her and promised giving her money to terminate the pregnancy so when she saw him with two other ladies, she decided to pick his phone which was later retrieved for him.
ASP Ziorklui said Nancy would be arraigned before court soon.
