Kenyan singer and songwriter Victoria Kimani has rued how challenging it is for women in the entertainment to get to the top.
According to the sassy singer, she has had her own share of challenges in a seemingly male-dominated industry pursuing music as a woman.
"It is an open secret that women put in so much work than their male counterpart but in the end, they are less appreciated and taken advantage of.
"I think women in Africa are generally underrated," she said in an interview on ‘E With Becks’ on Joy Prime.
Despite the challenges, Ms Kimani who doubles as an actress encourages all female talents not to lose focus but keep their fire burning.
She also throws some light on the Kenyan Music industry.
