Week 2 of the Women’s Premier League saw some gatecrashing results as Police Ladies and Ampem Darkoa made it two straight wins while Immigration Ladies and Hasaacas suffered their second successive defeats of the season.
Below is a wrap of all eight games played over the weekend:
On Saturday, Halifax Ladies kept their impressive start as they shocked Samaria ladies with two goals at the McDan La Community town park in Accra.
Kpodzo Bebe opened the score with her 16th-minute strike before Faustina Akpo added the second on the 20th-minute mark to grab all three points for Mercy Tagoe's side.
Later in the day at the same venue, the top-linear happened between Police Ladies and Hasaacas.
Hassacas drew the first blood through Milot Pokua on 14 minutes.
Three minutes to halftime, Police Ladies equalised courtesy of Ruth Appiah before they took the lead in the 45th minute.
Grace Animah made a swift run on the left wings and put in a perfectly timed cross which was calmly headed into the net by Juanita Aguadze.
Police Ladies held on to take all three points. Harriet Anie was adjudged as the Queen of the match which was presented by the US Ambassador to Ghana, Madam Stephania S. Sullivan.
Elsewhere in Cape Coast, Immigration Ladies’ abysmal form continued as they lost by a lone goal again, this time to Lady Strikers at the Robert Mensah sports stadium.
Queen of the match, Ellen Coleman netted the only goal of the game to give Lady Strikers a much-needed win.
Cecilia Hagan's Queen of the match award did not prevent Sea Lions from losing all three points at the Adu Yaw Assaan park to Soccer Intellectuals. The match ended 1-0 in favour of Soccer Intellectuals.
The Ashanti derby saw Ashtown Ladies lock horns with Fabulous Ladies. Both teams cancelled each other out as the game ended in a goalless draw.

At the Tamale Utrecht Park, Pearl Pia Ladies stunned Supreme ladies by 3-0. Barkisu Abdul Rahman recorded her third goal of the season before Fahama and Fuiseina added a goal each to win their first three points of the season.
