Workshop on malaria control held at Breman Asikuma
Humanitarian Foundation, an NGO based in Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District, in collaboration with Ghana Health Service and National Malaria Control Programme, has organized a day's workshop on malaria awareness for some health personnel, assembly members and religious organisations in the district.
Participants were drawn from Breman Asikuma, Benin, Ayipey, Baako, Kokoso, Nwomaso, Beedum, Jamra and Fosuansa.
Dr. Luiz Amoussou Gohoungo, the District Director of Health Service, Mr. Erasmus Otoo, District Youth Coordinator and Madam Dora Tawiah of the District Community Development, took participants through malaria, prevention and control, treatment of malaria using Artesunate/Amodiaquine.
Mr. Ashley Djan, Acting District Coordinating Director for the area, commended the NGO and other associations for their humanitarian assistance to people in the district.
