Milovan Rajevac insists none of Ghana’s World Cup-bound players is guaranteed a place in his starting XI ahead of their opening match against Serbia on Sunday.Regular number one goalkeeper Richard Kingson has been battling a shoulder injury since a 4-1 warm-up loss to Holland last week, with Daniel Adjei deputising against Latvia over the weekend. The 20-year-old was one of the stars of his country’s Under-20 World Cup success last year and kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 triumph over the Latvians, which upped his stake for a claim in the line-up.“Adjei did well and as you know he is a young goalkeeper and a world champion,” Rajevac said. “I believe he will get better.“The goalkeeper’s slot is like every other one in the team. No-one has a guaranteed place.”Wigan custodian Kingson did not train with the team for most of last week but the coach is confident he will be ready in time for the clash with the Serbs at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. He added: “He has not trained with us because of a shoulder injury but he still did his training with the medical staff on the side.“I am confident everything will be fine by the time the first game comes.”The Black Stars are also due to face Australia and Germany in Group D.Source; Ghanasoccernet.com
