The royal regent of Dagbon Kampakuya, Na Abdulai Yakubu Andani, has called on government to demonstrate its commitment to the rule of law by cracking the whip to deal with perpetrators of murder.
Na Adani said this will put a stop to the growing menace of killings of chiefs and ordinary citizens in the country.
According to him, if government's intelligence had worked diligently in dealing with the murder of the late overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani and 29 others at the Gbewa palace, it would have averted similar situations in Bimbilla, Garizegu, Gushegu among others.

The Dagbon regent was speaking to Joy News' Hashmim Mohammed after observing the 14th Anniversary of the murder of the late King of Dagbon.
“There is a little bit of fear because people fear there is no rule of law when it comes to Dagbon. How long can we allow our chiefs to be murdered?” inquired Na Andani.

He said this has become so because ”the rule of law is just a slogan and it’s not working.”
Na Andani said their appeal to the authorities in charge of peace and security of Ghana to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
