Three people have been reported dead in an accident on the Yamaransa road, Cape Coast, Sunday.
Several others also sustained varying degrees of injuries when the Yutong bus they were travelling on veered off the road and somersaulted.
Joy News Central Region correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko who was present at the accident scene reported the Yutong bus with registration number GN 252410 was travelling on top speed as it negotiated a roundabout at Yamaransa.
The driver managed to swerve an oncoming vehicle but lost control in the process, hitting a pillar and somersaulting.
The passengers, according to Nyarko were members of a keep fit club who were embarking on an excursion.
The victims, some of whose limbs were chopped off, have been rushed to the Central Regional Hospital.
Nyarko said four others have been rushed to the theatre.
