Singer Yaw Berk and his family have paid a visit to his former record label boss Kaywa to apologise to him following their fall out.
In a video going viral, the singer is seen going down on his knees to express his deepest apologies especially after he had spread lies about the producer.
The encounter mediated by Rev. Danso Abbeam in Kasoa, saw Kaywa accept the apology asking that whatever misunderstanding occurred should not happen again.
This comes after Yaw Berk in 2019 made many allegations against Kaywa after he left the record label, Highly Spiritual Music.
He claimed that Kaywa failed to manage him well, adding that only two of his songs were released in the two years he was with the label.
Among other things, he also claimed that the studios they used for recordings was infested with bed bugs.
Yaw Berk, however, later apologised for the bed bugs statement.
In January 2021, he again asked producer Kaywa to forgive him for claiming he was not managed well while signed under Highly Spiritual Music.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Yaw Berk had alleged that he was influenced by two big industry persons to make those statements adding that he had been promised a better deal and career in music if he turned his back on Kaywa and/or destroys his image.
“They were all false and staged in their interest. It dented my image and his, Ghanaians should help me apologise because I have done more harm than good. I really take my words back. It was two people. And if he can put me on again, I will be very proud,” Yaw Berk pleaded.
But Kaywa, speaking on the same show, said he has forgiven Yaw Berk but made it clear that it will be difficult for them to get back to working together.
During the meeting with Yaw Berk and his family, Kaywa said he had big plans for the artistes that had signed with him including Mr Drew, Krymi, Yaw Berk and Kurl Songz.
He told Rev Abbeam that the contract the young artiste signed had detailed the step by step measures they would take to ensure his success in the industry.
Kaywa admitted he was not going to be able to hand out luxurious cars and houses to the artiste right off the bat he had a dream and a plan to see him and the others succeed.
Rev Abbeam who intervened said the disrespect from Yaw Berk to his former boss should not have happened and thus made sure that he apologised in person.
