The Savannah Regional Minister, Saeed Muhazu Jebreel has paid tribute to President Akufo-Addo ahead of his two-day tour of the region.

According to Mr Saeed Muhazu Jebreel, Nana Akufo-Addo being elected as President of the Republic is to see to the growth of the country, particularly the Savannah Region.

In an exclusive interview with JoyNews' Isaac Nongya on Saturday, the Regional Minister indicated that the leadership of President Akufo-Addo has brought so much development to the region, hence they will be forever indebted to him.

The creation of the Savannah Region, Yapei township water project, construction of regional administration in all seven districts, two fully furnished District Hospitals, he mentioned are among some of the legacies of President Akufo-Addo.

He added that "his (Akufo-Addo) foresight is unmatched in the political history of Ghana, creating wealth and projecting human resource-based through the free SHS policy which will go a long way to project Ghana as a true beacon of democracy, peace, and development in the sub-region".

For Mr Saeed Muhazu Jebreel, the tenure of President Akufo-Addo will not only be an era of growth and development but "one that will also serve as an eye-opener to future Presidents of the Republic who will tap into his leadership qualities for a prosperous Ghana".

President Akufo-Addo will on Sunday, July 11, commence his two-day official tour of the Savannah Region. He will see to the commissioning and inspections of some projects.

On day one, the President will first pay a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Gonja, Yagbonwura Tutumba Bore Essa II at his Palace, inspect the ongoing Savannah Regional Administration Office Complex, and later head to Buipe in the Central Gonja District.

At Buipe, the President will pay a courtesy call on Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II and later commission the Buipe Accident and Emergency Hospital.

The President will end his official tour in Salaga in the East Gonja District with another courtesy call on Kpembewura at his palace before commissioning the Salaga Astro-Turf project.

He will also inspect two road projects; Bunjai -Fuculso road and the Salaga township roads.
