The news about the repugnant stench at the corridors of Parliament has taken a dramatic twist with workers of the Zoomlion relying on the fountain just in front of Parliament to wash the choking stench emanating from the washrooms used by the parliamentarians.
The MPs who were on a break for the biometric registration exercise were welcomed Tuesday on the floor with a foul stench from their lavatories.
Joy News’ Parliamentary correspondent Sammy Darko reported the stench created a lot of discomfort for the MPs who had a busy schedule on the first sitting.
According to him, the taps were not running and the workers tried desperately to make the atmosphere a lot friendlier for law making.
On Wednesday, workers of Zoomlion, in turns, carried their buckets and gallons to the fountain overlooking the Parliament house to fetch water and clean the mess.
It is not clear when the taps will be opened for workers to stop relying on the fountain.
