Zoomlion Foundation has donated an 18 seater Yutong Mini bus valued at $25,000 to the Drug and Alcohol Free Awareness and Rehabilitation Centre (DAFAREC) located at Medie near Nsawam.
The presentation is in response to a request made by the Executive Director of DAFAREC, Mr. Yaw Boakye when he approached the Foundation for assistance in support of the Centre to ease transportation difficulties the rehabilitees have been going through during outreach programs.
The rehabilitees at the Centre have to commute at long distances to sensitize alcohol and drug abusers about the negative effects of its usage.

They were highly elated to receive the bus from the Foundation.
Yutong Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of Jospong Group of Companies donated the bus to DAFAREC through Zoomlion Foundation.
Mrs. Adwoa Frimpomaa Nimako-Boateng, Ag. General Manager for Yutong Ghana Limited noted that they were touched by the works of DAFEREC and her company was of the firm belief that donating a bus for outreach purposes would go a long way to sensitize the youth about drug and alcohol abuse.
Receiving the bus, Mr. Yaw Boakye expressed his utmost gratitude to Zoomlion Foundation and subsidiaries of Jospong Group of Companies for the kind gesture.
He called on corporate institutions, philanthropists and donors to support the Centre with clothing, food items and cash to settle hospital bills.
He noted that the Centre was poised to enter ghettos, prisons, hospitals and every corner to support young people to desist from substance abuse.
In presenting the vehicle on behalf of Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies, Mrs. Sarah Kyei, Head of Zoomlion Foundation said her outfit is prepared to assisting organisations who are determined to bring positive change in society.

She said Zoomlion Foundation would continue to support DAFAREC to enable it provide counselling services, education and sensitization to the youth about the effects of drug and alcohol abuse.
Other items donated by the Foundation to support the Centre included 4 bunk bed, 50 plastic chairs, one Deep freezer and Stabilizer, 44 KVA Generator set, one Lead guitar, Piano, Ludo, Draught board, Oware, a Printer, 1 Dell laptop, 4 dustbins and 3 Ice coolers.
