Police in a dawn swoop on Thursday arrested ten people in Yendi in connection with the murder of the overlord of Dagbon Ya-Na Yakubu Andani.
This was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Abudu gate, Dr Ziblim Idi to Joy News’ Elvis Adjetey on Thursday.
According to him, seven of the arrested persons have been released after screening, with three still in police custody.
He said one of the three detained, was part of the people who were arrested and released last April in a similar dawn swoop for lack of evidence.
This he said is worrying. He accused the interior ministry for what he says is the lack of due diligence in investigating the murder of the Ya-Na.
