Sixteen people are reported to have died in an accident last night near Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region.
According to an eyewitness’ account, nine men and seven women lost their lives while injured persons have been sent to the Kintampo Government Hospital.
Those who sustained serious injuries were referred to the Techiman Holy Child Hospital.
The accident occurred when an articulated truck loaded with iron rods heading towards northern Ghana, veered off its lane and collided with an O.A. passenger bus with Registration Number AS 9141Y at a sharp curve.
