Ghana Garden and Flower Show, which seeks to provide a platform for the promotion of horticulture and floriculture is slated for Monday 10th September, 2018.
Exhibitors for this year’s Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS) will gather at the Ecobank Head Office in Accra to be briefed on modalities for the show to facilitate their effective participation.
This activity is organised for exhibitors annually by Stratcomm Africa, initiators of the Ghana Garden and Flower show. It forms part of efforts to ensure efficient delivery of the show.
At the session, exhibitors are taken through the theme of the show, exhibitor etiquette and effective marketing skills among others. They are also taken through the goal of the show, which includes promoting a Greener, Cleaner, healthier, wealthier and more beautiful gardens and the roles of exhibitors in achieving this goal. Exhibitors are also provided an orientation about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the contribution of the show to their realization.
The forum provides exhibitors an opportunity to share ideas for the growth of the Show. This year the focus is on using digital interactions to facilitate the growth of their gardening businesses, including marketing their products effectively in their neighborhoods and beyond and also using digital banking platforms.
The 2018 Ghana Garden and Flower show has the theme, “Enriching Ghana; a garden at a time” and is scheduled to take place at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park from 20th to 26th September, 2018. Ghana Garden and Flower show is the flagship event of the innovative Ghana Garden and Flower Movement initiated by Stratcomm Africa in 2013.
Last year, close to 150 exhibitors participated in the show, representing about 40% improvement over the previous year.
This year, about 200 exhibitors are expected. This would offer show participants a vast array of garden and flower related wares to view or purchase.
Commenting on the session,Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, organizers of the Ghana Garden and Flower Show, noted that “the exhibition constitutes the core of the show, hence the need to discuss with exhibitors how to make this year’s show even better.” She added, “As a communications agency we appreciate the value of stakeholder engagement to the success of social interventions such as the show. The success of the show, can therefore be attributed among others to the continuous engagement we have with our exhibitors and other key stakeholders. We are therefore happy to have the opportunity once again to meet with our valued exhibitors.”
Products to be exhibited at the show include flowers, ornamental plants, garden tools and ornaments, cosmetics and skin care, argo chemicals, soils, garden furniture, garden inspired fashion, as well as amazing creative pieces from Constance Swaniker’s Accents & Arts.
