The Upper West region school pulled the cat out of the bag by wrestling the bragging rights from favourites Nandom Senior High.

Lawra by their victory Monday morning has made a return to the nationals after they were knocked out at the prelims in 2017.
They suffered an expected defeat to Volta region-based Keta Senior High and Technical School; coming last in that contest behind Dzodze-Penyi SHS who came third.
Nandom who were expected to carry the day as easily as drinking water were left wondering how they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Contestants for Lawra SHS
They led the contest from the beginning but like Merseyside-based Liverpool FC, bottled the contest at the end.
