While the Ashanti regional qualifiers of the National Science and Maths Quiz has recorded some impressive points flow, the Northern region seems to be lacking.

Tamale-based Ghana Senior High used that tally to beat Anbariya SHS who scored just 10 points and Savelugu SHS who scored 6 points.
In the second contest, the winners’ tally dropped. Walewale Senior High went through with 28 points; 5 lower than Ghana SHS.
Vitting SHS fell 11 points behind and Bunkpurugu SHS and Nalerigu fell even four more points behind Vitting 7 points
The story did not get any better as Pong-Tamale Senior High also qualified but with 21 points.
Tamale Girls’ Senior High failed to join other girl’s school who made have it through. Their 17 points saw them crash out of the contest at the regional level. Gushegu SHS also fell behind with 14 points.
In a more points-starved contest, Northern School of Business booked their qualification with a paltry 15 points.
Charles Minor Seminary were left disappointed after scoring just seven points but they got consolation from doing better than Wulensi SHS who scored four points.
