Jumia Ghana, the leader in e-commerce in Ghana, has partnered with L’Oréal West Africa, Gokals Cosmeceutical and the Shoebox store in Marina Mall to launch the biggest online fashion and beauty promotion in Ghana.
The campaign, which kick starts from the 13th to the 19th of May, seeks to position Jumia as the one-stop shop for all the needs of Ghanaians including fashion and beauty products.
During the week-long period, fashion and beauty items such as Men’s Wear, Women’s Wear, Beauty and Perfumes will have their prices slashed by up to 80% and this offers Jumia customers a chance to buy fashion essentials and some of their favorite brands at great prices.
L’Oréal will be offering up to 50 percent exclusive deals on its Maybelline products whilst Gokals will give discounts of up to 40 percent on its skincare and haircare products such as Vasu Uva, Karis Naturals, Sesa, Trich Up and Charm and Glow. The week will also witness the official launch of another brand in the Gokals distribution family, Cucciolobaby and mother care products (an original Italian brand). Moreover, fans of Converse will also have the opportunity to purchase online their favourite Converse footwear supplied by Shoebox, the official retailer of Converse in Ghana, at up to 20 percent discount during the Fashion Week.
Carolina Ricci, Head of Fashion at Jumia Ghana explaining the rationale behind the Fashion Week says “Jumia wants to bring visibility to the fashion offering available on its platform, and to communicate our cherished customers that they can count on Jumia for all their fashion needs”.“Jumia has set itself a goal to become the number one marketplace for all the needs of our customers and thus this year’s fashion week has an underlying goal to show to our clients and customers alike that we sell their favourite fashion and beauty products as part of the assortment of items we have on our platform” says Ore Odusanya, the Country Manager for Jumia Ghana.
According to Ore, “Jumia will continue to keep the interests of Ghanaians at the core of its operations by committing to provide quality products be it electronic, health and beauty or fashion, at very affordable prices.”
With the convenience and comfort online shopping offers to patrons, it is expected that the week-long campaign will see hundreds of fashion and beauty products being sold during the week at highly-discounted prices.
