D-Black is clearly not amused by the number 50 slot handed him in DJ Black’s Top 50 list of rappers in Ghana.
He believes strongly that he deserves a better spot than the position he was given in the list that has generated a lot of talk and controversy in the Ghanaian media and public space.
While he has nothing against some of the rappers on the list, D-Black noted that he is better some of the names on the list.

DJ Black
Host of Open House Party on Joy FM, DJ Black released the list of Top 50 rappers in Ghana.
The list, which he released in August, was greeted with a lot of mixed feelings with some suggesting that some names ought not to be on the list.
While he did not provide clarity on whether the list is also a rating of who is the best, some fanatics believe DJ Black should have been clear on the positions of the rappers.

On the list, Obrafour, Sarkodie, Okyeame Kwame, Reggie Rockstone, Lord Kenya, Kwadee, M.anifest, Blitz the Ambassador, Jayso and Flowking Stone take up the top ten spot respectively.
Sydney (Nananom), Jay Dee, Tic Tac (now TiC), Prodigal (VIP), Cy Lover, Amerado, Opanka, Pappy Kojo, Criss Waddle and D-Black make up the bottom 10 spots respectively.
Commenting on the list for the first time in an interview on Behind the Fame on Drive Time on Joy FM with Lexis Bill, D-Black said he will “take it like” that.
Asked whether he felt he was better than TeePhlow, who is number 33 on the list, the ‘Obi Ba’ hit rapper said: “he is very good.”
But he will not agree that Sydney, Prodigal are better rappers than him.
He was quick to respond that Asem (number 14 on the list) is a very good rapper [Flowking Stone] (number 10 on the list) is an “amazing rapper” so is Trigmatic (number 22 on the list).
“Ebi like DJ Black, I for punch am,” D-Black said in broken English to wit, ‘I feel like punching DJ Black’.
