The second edition of The Justice Concert has been scheduled for Sunday, February 2, at the Agape House New Testament Church.
The event which is hosted by the International Justice Mission (IJM) and Heartsong seeks to create awareness on the issue of child trafficking through creative arts.
It will include an appearance from Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, Eugene Zuta and international artists - The Bowery.
With about a thousand children trafficked to work on the Lake Volta, IJM is working with the Ghana Police Service and government actors to rescue victims, arrest and prosecute perpetrators.
They are also working to reform the justice system and provide rehabilitation for survivors.
The purpose-driven concert promises to be filled with impactful music, powerful poetry, and moving drama and creatively explore child trafficking and what one can do to end this injustice.
Through videos, music and spoken word, the story of a child trafficking survivor, Esther will be shared to tell her experience as a child working on the Lake Volta. It will tell the traumatic story of how she was rescued and her life now in a shelter.
They are urging music lovers and activists to come and support the movement to advocate for the end of child trafficking in the country.
