The Division One League (DOL) Board has named nine players to be ineligible to feature for their Clubs in the various matches of the ongoing Polytank League.
A statement issued and signed by Emmanuel Gyimah, Deputy General Secretary in charge of Administration of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) copied to GNA Sports said the ineligibility of the players was based on their actions that infringed on the Regulations in the Laws of the Game and the Association.
The affected players’ includes Abdullah Razak of Samartex, Lawrence Lartey of Nania FC, Abdul Rashid of Bofoakwa Tano and Adams Sulemana of Westlandes who are ineligible for Weeks 3, 4 and 5 matches of the DOL.
The remaining five players who are ineligible for the Week 3 matches are Akuoku Emmanuel of Aduana Stars, Kwadwo Poku of Cornerstones, Seidu Iddrisu of Juventus, Michael Adu-Poku of Kaaseman and Okae Emmanuel of Great Mariners.
The Polytank-sponsored league enters its third week with matches at the various approved centres.
The release said ineligible players in the on-going league will be published as and when their actions infringe on the Regulations in the Laws of the game and the Association.
