Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Samuel Anim Addo, has indicated that he would be open to leading Ghana's football governing body in the future if the opportunity presents itself, saying such a decision would ultimately depend on God's will.

Although he stopped short of declaring any immediate intention to contest for the presidency of the GFA, the football administrator suggested that he would not rule out the possibility of seeking the association's highest office.

Speaking during Joy FM's Personality Profile with Lexis Bill on Thursday, August 6, Mr Anim Addo responded to a question on whether he would like to be GFA President someday.

"Wow! If God says… It's possible… If I have the chance," he said.

His brief but measured response comes amid ongoing discussions within Ghana's football fraternity about the future leadership of the GFA and reforms needed to strengthen the domestic game.

Mr Anim Addo has built a strong profile in Ghana's sporting landscape, serving as an Executive Council member of the GFA while also establishing himself as a sports entrepreneur, football administrator, boxing promoter and business executive. He is also widely known as the manager of former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, playing a significant role in managing the football icon's brand and commercial interests.

During the interview, Mr Anim Addo shared his vision for Ghana football, stressing the importance of strengthening grassroots development, promoting Colts football as the foundation for national team selection, enhancing capacity building for football administrators and ensuring greater transparency within the sport's judicial system.

His remarks are likely to fuel speculation over a possible future leadership role within Ghana football, although he offered no indication of any immediate plans to enter the GFA presidential race.

For now, he maintains that any such opportunity would depend on both circumstance and divine direction.
