Scores of teachers from across the country have thronged the premises of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in Accra agitating over what they described as an attempt to fail them in their promotional examination.
According to the teachers, they took part in the just-ended examination and were looking forward to being promoted to their respective positions.
They explained that the initial text messages they received announcing their results, indicated that they have passed the test and must submit their documents at the GES headquarters in Accra for verification.
However, not too long after that, they received another text message instructing them to recheck their results.
When they did, unfortunately, most of them found out that they have failed the exam.
It is for this reason that they decided to come to the headquarters for clarification because they sense foul play.
Meanwhile, the GES has debunked the accusations. The Deputy Director-General of GES, Mr Anthony Boateng has attributed the situation to technological challenges.
Mr Anthony Boateng, who spoke to Adom News, said the situation is unfortunate. He gave the assurance that the issue will be resolved.
