PwC Ghana formally announces the retirement of George Kwatia, Tax Leader, effective 30 June 2021.
George Kwatia began his career with PwC, formerly Price Waterhouse on March 1, 1998. He joined the partnership in 2010 and was also the Mining Leader for PwC’s West Market Area.
“George has contributed immensely to the growth and development of our firm over the last 23 years,” Vish Ashiagbor, PwC Ghana Country Senior Partner said.
“I thank George for his expertise, enthusiasm and dedication to serving our clients and helping grow our tax line of service. I wish him all the best for his retirement, he will be missed.”
Ayesha Bedwei Ibe will succeed Mr Kwatia as PwC’s Tax Leader effective July 1, 2021.
“I am excited to take on the role as Tax Leader and will continue to build on the existing momentum our tax practice has built as we navigate these very difficult times,” she remarked.
Joining the tax leadership will also be Lydia Pwadura, a partner who returns to PwC Ghana after six years at PwC Zambia, where she co-led the firm’s tax practice.
"I am delighted to welcome Lydia back to the firm. Her experience leading multinational teams will prove invaluable as we support our clients to build their businesses and organisations," Vish Ashiagbor stated.
