President Akufo-Addo has appointed Nii Odoi Tetteyfio as the Chairperson of the Ghana National Service Scheme (GNSS).

Other Board Members appointed to help in service are in the persons of; Mr Osei Assibey Antwi, Madam, Naa Odarley Nortey Esquire, Dr Kingsley Nyarko, DCOP Patrick Adudei Sarpong, Dr Dominic Kwesi Eduaj, and Abdul-Aziz Ayaba Musah.

Mr Tetteyfio, in his speech at the swearing in ceremony on Tuesday at the Ministry of Education expressed the profound gratitude bestowed upon him and his colleagues to “serve this great nation of ours as the Governing Board of the Ghana National Service Scheme.”

“To His Excellency the President of the Republic, H.E Vice President and Chief of Staff for the privilege to contribute our quota towards attainment of the vision of this Government in the Education sector,” he said.

Mr Tetteyfio speaking on behalf of the newly sworn officials fully accepted the charge to serve.

He also assured that “we will work together as a team to build on the strides made over the years and justify the confidence reposed in us.”

He noted that “One of the notable strides is the introduction of digital innovation into the placement of service personnel which has brought efficiency into how this is done.”

According to him, together with his team will focus on collaborating “with user agencies on skills matching and training to enhance the experience of the personnel and improve on revenue generation.”

Profile

Nee Odoi cut his teeth in communication when he joined Lintas Ghana Ltd. in 1995 from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and for over two decades contributed immensely towards the growth of the Agency business.

He played a key role in the areas of strategic planning and providing inspiring leadership to a team that managed the account of some of Ghana’s blue-chip companies.

Nee Odoi worked on a variety of accounts during his time at Lintas Ghana which included Barclays Bank, Guinness Ghana Breweries, Unilever Ghana, Ghana Textile Printing, Friesland West Africa, Wrigley’s, Johns Hopkins University, GSMF, Ghana Sustainable Change Programme, Engender health, Ghana Telecom, GCNET, Ghana Health Service, UNICEF, FHI 360 etc.

Nee Odoi took a bow from Lintas Ghana in 2019 after almost 25 years of impeccable service to focus on a boutique Consultancy he started with his friend Kwaku Sakyi Addo.

Activate Africa is an Integrated Communications Consultancy established in 2017 by these 2 seasoned and versatile communication strategists.

At the core of their operations are the founders: Nee Odoi Tetteyfio who has over 2 decades of immense experience having worked with some of the Ghana’s leading blue-chip companies and handled some of Ghana’s foremost brands e.g., key Soap, Omo, Blue band, Barclays bank, Guinness, GTP etc.

The Activate Africa system is led by these 2 astute planners who bring on board the best of the breed Consultants across multiple disciplines from strategic planning, research, creative development, channel planning and community interaction to deliver on assignments.

This attests to being selected in 2018 to handle a very crucial national assignment the National Identification Card Project; where we were responsible for all aspects of communication including materials development and media placement.

Nee Odoi also led the team on a brand refresh campaign for the Data Protection Commission in 2019 and followed up with the design and management of the hugely successful 1ST Africa Region Data Protection and Privacy Conference hosted in Ghana in 2019.

This event brought together key players in the global data protection and exchange community to Accra for a week-long meeting on how to advance the frontiers with respect to how institutions collect and use the personal information of people.

Nee Odoi and the team provided Communication Consultancy services to PEF from 2018 -2020 on a new corporate brand positioning and the OSIWA Projects.
