Farmerline has partnered with the Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness (CASA) Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), a programme which supports agribusinesses that source from smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
The partnership involves working closely with Farmerline to develop and implement an Inclusive Business Plan (IBP) – a roadmap to deepen, broaden or strengthen supply chains in a way that delivers value to both smallholders and shareholders.
As part of the initial collaboration, CASA TAF is providing a crisis-response grant of £20,000 as a risk-sharing mechanism backing our “Support A Farmer Initiative” that aims to provide high-quality and affordable input packages to farmers and help them address the 200% fertiliser price increase in Ghana. CASA TAF is also providing technical assistance for Farmerline’s input dealers and field officers to provide advisory services and optimise input application.
CASA TAF is a programme funded by the UK Government’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and managed by TechnoServe.
Farmerline is a fast-growing Agtech company with a marketplace that combines digital tools, logistics, field agents, farm resources, and agribusiness partnerships to support African farmers with high-quality fertiliser and seeds, as well as free education on climate-smart farming practices, and access to international markets to ultimately create lasting wealth for them and their communities.
