However, the last ‘Time Conference’ was held two years ago due to the insurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The convention was designed to offer a wide range of workshop opportunities led by dynamic facilitators who are educators themselves, coming from diverse walks of life such as the United Kingdom, America, and other parts of Africa.

These elite educators and administrators graced the workshop to provide hands-on opportunities for participants to acquire new knowledge and skills, to consolidate their teaching and learning strategies to enhance student outcomes.

Also, the conference availed the medium for sharing and learning from the diverse challenges fellow educators continue to face in their quest to nurture the next generation of global citizens.

Speaking on the theme for the day as the Guest of Honour, Dr Nneka Johnson highlighted the positive ways teachers can adapt to social media while using the platform to interact and hold online class sessions with their students and highlighted some dangers social media can cause to both educators and learners.

Meanwhile, the Principal of GIS, Dr Mrs Mary Ashun in an Interview with Joy Learning TV admonished the educators present at the workshop not to be afraid of using social media, but instead embrace its existence and use it as a tool to guide and enhance the learning process of their students.

She also entreated parents to be present and aware of their children.
