The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has called for the general public to be calmed with issues surrounding reports boxer Freezy MacBones has chosen to represent the United Kingdom ahead of Ghana.
In a statement released on Thursday, May 18, the GBA called for the general public to be calm and have intellectual discussions about the boxer's future.
Seth Gyimah began his amateur boxing career in UK with no any income job but was later advised to channel his effort in a job that may offer him reliable income.
Despite the uncertainty, Seth Gyimah pursued his passion and made way to the professional ranks in 2021 with Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA) license to authenticate his career status.
The 33 year old light heavyweight boxer whose target is to become a world champion to inspire the next generation of Ghanaian young boxers became popular in Ghana, United Kingdom and across the world after a viral video he knocked out Darryl Sharp at the Copper Box Arena in London.
The GBA President, Abraham Kotei Neequaye was very excited with Seth Gyimah but working around the clock to engage his handlers to help refine his ring generalship, jabs, defense and other important confidential tricks.
The GBA wishes to state categorically that Seth Gyimah had the GBA professional boxing license in 2021 with the hope to fight under the flag of Ghana.
The issue related to his nationality must be treated with caution and calmness to help bring about peace and tranquility in the camp of the boxer and productive relationship with his handlers in UK regardless.
The GBA President, Abraham Kotei Neequaye stated that, on behalf of GBA Executive Board Members and the entire members of Ghana boxing fraternity, he will like to commend Seth Gyimah for his smooth career study rise underpinned by determination, dedication and discipline.
