Chief Executive of Charter House, Theresa Ayoade, has revealed that works are underway to relaunch Ghana’s first musical competitive reality show, Stars of the Future.
Speaking on a yet-to-be-aired interview on JoyNews, the event organiser said the show was truncated due to lack of funding.
Mrs Ayoade, however, indicated that due to the crucial role the reality programme played in discovering impeccable talents, Charter House is working earnestly to have it back on screens.
“We believe that we can repackage it and see how we can bring it back because it was very instrumental in discovering a lot of singing talents and we pride ourselves on having played a role in developing artists such as Adina, Efya, Wiyaala, Yaya and a whole list of them who all came through Stars of the Future,” she told Ayisha Ibrahim.
The CEO believed that a revival of the programme will assist the music industry discover new talents for them to be nurtured, and groomed at an early stage.
“We still believe that there is still room for talent development. So we’re probably going to go back to Stars of the Future to continue to promote undeveloped talents, discover new talents, and see how we can set them on the path to making their talents more commercially attractive and viable. So talent development is an area we’re looking at.”
Stars of the Future was last aired in 2011.
