One hundred and fifty students from 20 schools participated in the first round of the competition, which quizzed the students on intricate Math problems that required out of the box thinking.
32 junior high students and 32 high school students progressed to the knockout stages.
The students at each level were paired with each other and had to solve three Math problems within 45 seconds. The candidate with the highest score progressed to the next round. In the semifinal and final stages, the questions increased to five per round.
Karikari Precious Nkyefo from Presec Legon and Benjamin Abetia Agyanim, M/A Crig JHS, Tafo were adjudged champions at the senior and junior levels respectively.
Other Gold medalists for Juniors were Mantram Saini, DPS International; JIAYI ZHENG, Ghana International School and Yinemaa Joziah Abor, Angels Ridge International School.

For the Seniors, Derrick Ayede, Ashaiman Senior High; Joel Nkrumah, DPS International and Excel Kuma-Awusi, Presec,Legon were the other gold recipients.
Speaking to the media, Abel Ohene Acquaye, Programme Director at the Academic Talent Development Program, organisers of the Mathleticus Math Tournament was thankful of the schools, teachers, parents and students who made the second season a huge success.
The ATDP, he added, develops credible academic platforms to unlock students' abilities through extracurricular activities, and leverages on international partnerships and best practices to get students in Ghana to be globally competitive in STEAM disciplines.

This season, in the lead up to the main programme, a session was held with Professor Michael Lambrou, of the University of Crete, Greece.
He walked the teachers and students through creative Mathematics concepts and Fun Maths. The online sessions were made possible by the collaboration of the Kangaroo Global (AKSF) which Ghana was accepted as a provisional member this year.
Mathleticus Math Tournament was sponsored by the Ghana Olympiad Academy and the Bronston Canadian Academy.
