President Akufo-Addo's ministerial reshuffle has been met with mixed reviews. While some say this would not have any massive impact on the 2024 general elections, many have welcomed the changes.
On Wednesday, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta was relieved of his duties. Also out of the picture are Road Minister Kwame Amoako-Atta and Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu.
In a big shake-up, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah was moved to the Housing Ministry, while his deputy Fatimatu Abubakar took over as the substantive Minister. Interior Minister Ambrose Dery has also been reassigned as Minister of State at the Office of the President.
The recent reshuffle has impacted about 13 ministers of state, comprising 10 cabinet ministers and two regional ministers.
Below are some reactions from Ghanaians
Dear President Akufo-Addo, I am sorry but this ministerial reshuffle would’ve made a lot of sense if the Finance minister Ken Ofori Atta had been removed long time ago. The harm he’s caused the country can’t be resolved with just 10 months. I’m sorry sir! pic.twitter.com/Yp85GXqSyT

Have you realized that since Nana Addo came to power 2017 till date he has never done any reshuffle or change his ministers ??
This should tell you that they never had any men everything was a pure scam for vote..— Alhaji Nas (@Alhaji_Nas_Gh) February 14, 2024
When Akufo Addo appointed 125 ministers, we were told that he should be allowed to do whatever it took to change the fortunes of the country. He achieved it though. He's changed our fortunes for the worse.

And you’re happy he makes reshuffle now.
I have always known that Ghanaian youths are the major problem.
What change can these new group of ministers make within these few months??

It won't change anything. And they all can say they were only acting on the instructions of the President and were merely government advisors, even if they sat in Cabinet and were part of all decisions on government policies.https://t.co/Y3UCxUAHJR
