Special Aide to former President John Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has refuted a false post claiming that Mr Mahama was not invited to Asantehene's birthday celebration.
Speaking on the matter, she clarified that the post in her name was not authentic. and emphasised that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader has always maintained a cordial relationship with the Asantehene.
In an X post, she stated that “the relationship between my boss, former President John Dramani Mahama, and Nana Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu, is a matter of public record.”.
According to her, ex-President John Mahama and Otumfuo have a strong relationship, and an invitation isn't necessary for Mr Mahama to attend Otumfuo's events.
Their close bond ensures Mahama's participation in celebrations without the need for formal invitations.
"Both gentlemen enjoy a warm brotherly relationship, and let me state without doubt that John Mahama does not require any kind of invitation to participate in any activities, be they public or private, involving Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu II."
"We have a free pass to Manhyia; ignore the fake news from ‘Mr. No Ideas’ and his boys and girls, ” she stated.
Mrs. Mogtari also urged the public to refrain from sharing fake news, warning that doing so may result in legal consequences.
