Ghanaian engineer, business consultant and waste management expert who is currently the Business Development Manager of the biggest compost and recycling plant in Africa; Kumasi Compost and Recycling Plant Limited, Eugene Amo-Asamoah has been crowned Ghana's most outstanding personality in Environmental and Climate sustainability at the just ended 8th edition of the 2024 forty under 40 Awards.
The ceremony was held at Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra on Saturday, 7th September.
This prestigious accolade is in recognition of his outstanding dedication and commitment within the waste management industry in Ghana and beyond as well as his innovations and creative contributions towards environmental and climate sustainability.
He is part of a highly respected company (KCARP) which advocates for best business practices within various facets of the environmental and sanitation sector.
Interacting with the media after receiving this all-important honour, Eugene Amo-Asamoah was extremely grateful to the Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Elder Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong for giving him the platform to operate throughout the years.
He took the opportunity to also thank his family, friends and indefatigable colleagues and staff for their support in providing a better environment for all through effective and efficient waste management.
According to him, the award will motivate him to contribute further towards excelling in the sector.

Kumasi Compost and Recycling Plant Limited has positioned itself as a leader in the composting and recycling industry with credibility and reputation in the market and also setting benchmarks for others to follow.
The award is an initiative of Xodus Communications Limited with support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry which seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of forty from a wide range of industries.
The iconic awards scheme was attended by dignitaries such as the Presidential Candidate of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, members of the diplomatic corps, government officials and traditional leaders.
