Ghanaian Afrobeat sensation, Lord Morrgan, captivated over 7,000 attendees of Afienya Fest on the evening of December 28, 2024.
The event, which was held at Afienya, lasted for four days (from December 26 to December 29) and featured an array of performers.
Hosted by the Afienya Development Committee, the festival highlighted the cultural richness of the town, and Lord Morrgan’s performance on the 28th December marked a major highlight of the event.
The musician’s set included songs like Party Time, Be Nice to Me, Baby, Ayalolo, Drink Something, and Kpanla. His ability to blend infectious rhythms with meaningful lyrics resonated deeply with the local fans, who sang along throughout his performance.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening came when a fan threw cash at Lord Morrgan as an act of appreciation, a gesture that was reciprocated by Morrgan’s team. In a show of generosity, they returned the money, and further pulled out bundles of cash and threw them into the audience.
Perhaps the most heartwarming moment came when Lord Morrgan invited a fan on stage after the fan jokingly asked for anything from the artiste. True to his word, Lord Morrgan gifted the fan his own sneakers.
The night also highlighted Lord Morrgan’s loyalty to his fanbase, many of whom are from the surrounding areas, and who have embraced his music as an expression of their own culture. The chemistry between the artiste and his fans was palpable, and it was clear that Lord Morrgan’s music resonates deeply with the tribe.
Before the performance, Lord Morrgan shared an exciting update with the audience: he recently traveled to Turkey to shoot the music video for his hit song 'Kpanla'. Looking ahead to 2025, he promised even greater musical projects, which are sure to keep his growing fanbase on the edge of their seats.
