President John Mahama has appointed the Ashanti Regional Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abass-Adams Nurudeen, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Social Investment Fund.
The appointment was made in accordance with Article 195 (1) of the Constitution.
This was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the President on Friday, January 24, 2025.
According to the statement, the appointment is subject to the Constitutionally required advice of the governing Board of the Fund, provided in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
The statement also noted that Mr Nurudeen's appointment takes immediate effect as of Friday, January 24, 2025, and urged him to indicate his acceptance or otherwise of the appointment within 14 days.
