Coderina EdTech, an organisation committed to advancing robotics and STEM education in Ghana, on Friday, April 4, 2025, met with the Ministry of Education to introduce resources aimed at enhancing robotics programmes in schools across the country.
These resources include 17 Competition Sets, 13 Robot Kits, and 1 3D Printer, which will be distributed to various schools to support hands-on STEM learning.
Speaking at the session, the National Robotics Coordinator for Coderina, Ben Amoako, explained that the resources are designed to strengthen the country’s competitive edge in local and international robotics competitions.

He stated that the initiative primarily targets students aged 14–18, fostering essential skills such as innovation, teamwork, and technical expertise.
"We have trained over 150 schools and reached more than 5,000 students from preschool to high school. Last year, Ghana's teams from Mamfe Methodist Girls and Adisadel College received international recognition, with some winning the Judges’ Award," he said.
The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, praised the initiative, stressing the importance of integrating technology into education to better prepare the nation's youth for future careers in STEM.

He acknowledged the crucial role of organisations like Coderina in shaping a brighter future for students.
"We are delighted to support your efforts. As a government, we are committed to the introduction of AI in education, but we will do so cautiously, ensuring that it fosters true learning rather than laziness," the Minister said.
"The future is undeniably rooted in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics."
This collaboration between Coderina EdTech and the Ministry of Education marks a significant milestone in the country’s effort to enhance STEM education.
By equipping students with the necessary tools and fostering a culture of innovation, Ghana is paving the way for the next generation of engineers, scientists, and technologists.
