Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, Victoria Lebene Osafo-Nkansah, has revealed the inspiration behind her fast-growing food brand, Vicky’s Recipe.
During an interview on The Career Trail program aired on Joy Learning TV and JoyNews, she revealed that the business was born out of her husband’s unique eating habits.
According to Victoria, her husband, well-known entertainment blogger Konkonsa, does not eat meat and prefers only fish. This sparked a culinary experiment that eventually grew into a full-fledged business.
"Vicky’s Recipe came about as a result of my husband who doesn’t eat meat, he takes only fish. So I said to myself that what can I do if I want to make jollof. So I did little experiment with fish and it tasted so nice," she recounted.

Impressed by the taste, her husband encouraged her to take the bold step from kitchen to business.
“He loved it and said, you have to allow people to have a taste too. You need to commercialize this. So I said okay and started online,” she shared.
What began as a humble online offering quickly caught fire. Orders poured in and customers praised the unique flavor.
"The love for the food went crazy. Everybody was like, ‘Vicky’s Recipe taste great. I want the jollof’ and it went gaga. I’m like oh my God, this thing is catching a lot of fire," she said.
Encouraged by the demand, Victoria expanded her menu to include more dishes. However, it’s the original fish jollof that continues to steal the spotlight.
Buoyed by the overwhelming response and growing customer base, Victoria Lebene revealed that her next big step is to open a physical restaurant.
