A tragic accident on the Dambai–Asukawkaw Highway at KpareKpare has claimed the life of 12-year-old Prosper Tamondo.
The young boy was struck by a Toyota pick-up with registration number GT 641-24.
Eyewitnesses gave conflicting accounts of the incident to the police and Adom News. Some reported that the deceased was returning from the farm, while others said he had been swimming with friends in the River KpareKpare and was attempting to cross the road to the other side when the accident occurred.

The police have taken custody of the body and transported it to the WoraWora Government Hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation.
Sergeant Zakaria Asharift of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) stated that investigations have begun to ascertain the cause of the accident.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many expressing sadness and outrage over the loss of such a young life.
The police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
