Organisers of the Game on Afrika tournament have arrived in Ghana ahead of hosting the 2025 edition.
The team from Game On Afrika Limited, led by founder, Prince Nnaemaeka Lawrence Nwankwo, and Project Manager, Jenny Anusiem, arrived in Ghana earlier this week as preparations for the tournament in Ghana near commencement.
Upon their arrival, the competition’s local coordinators visited the Director General of the National Sports Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, to formally brief him on the project.
The DG commended the initiative and pledged his support. The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu (Eze Ndi Igbo Ghana), who warmly received them and offered his blessings for the tournament.

The tournament, put together by Game on Afrika Limited, aims at selecting the best U-19 players across four regions in Ghana.
This year’s competition will feature the Greater Accra, Oti, Central and Ashanti regions.
Each region is expected to present their best players before going head-to-head at the regional level to get a Ghana Select side.
The selected side will go all the way to face Nigeria in a two-legged fixture to determine the winner who will enjoy a paid trip to the United Kingdom (UK) to be watched by scouts.
The football competition, designed to also connect cultures and nurture future football champions, will be staged simultaneously in Nigeria and Ghana, with kick-off scheduled for October 4, 2025.
Registration is currently open for U-19 teams via the official website, www.gameonafrika.com, and will close on September 30, 2025.
