A presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential primary, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has arrived in the Ashanti Region today as part of the continuation of his nationwide constituency tour, aimed at strengthening grassroots support and consolidating the internal unity of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The tour, which forms part of Dr. Acheampong’s wider political strategy ahead of the 2028 general elections, has so far seen him visit over 76 constituencies across the country—including nine in the Ashanti Region alone.
His message of unity, discipline, and grassroots empowerment is said to be resonating strongly with the party’s base.
According to his Communications Directorate, the second leg of the Ashanti Region tour will span 10 days and include visits to the remaining constituencies within the region, widely regarded as the political heartland of the NPP.

The itinerary includes:
- Town Hall meetings with youth and community leaders.
2. Stakeholder dialogues with traditional rulers, clergy, and senior party figures.
3. Media engagements to further communicate his vision and rally support.
The Communications Directorate described the tour as part of a broader initiative to bring the party together, reinforce discipline at the grassroots level, and position the NPP favourably for the 2028 elections.
Dr. Acheampong’s leadership style — characterised as bold, inclusive, and forward-thinking — is reportedly gaining traction among party faithful and stakeholders alike.
In a statement released on October 18, the campaign team encouraged NPP supporters, the media, and the general public to follow updates from the tour through official campaign platforms and Dr. Acheampong’s social media channels.
