It was not the fastest start, but it was a ruthless finish. T.I. AMASS, Kumasi, has secured a place in the one-eighth stage of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after overturning an early lead held by Yilo Krobo SHS at the CNC Auditorium.
The Ashanti Region side, who opened Round One in second place with 12 points, found their rhythm as the contest progressed and stormed ahead to close the contest with 46 points.

Yilo Krobo SHS, who started strongest and hit a perfect 10/10 in the Problem of the Day, lost grip of the contest in the latter rounds and finished with 34 points.
Adventist SHS, Bantama, fought their way up to overtake Yilo briefly but eventually settled for 37 points.

At the end of the contest;
T.I. AMASS, Kumasi — 46 pts
Adventist SHS, Bantama — 37 pts
Yilo Krobo SHS — 34 pts
With this comeback win, T.I. AMASS Kumasi joins the growing list of schools advancing to the one-eighth stage as the prelims continue to thin the field at NSMQ 2025.
