The National Theatre of Ghana, in collaboration with a team of German theatre professionals, is hosting an intensive technical training workshop for its production and technical crew.
The workshop, which began on October 23, 2025, and ends on November 9, 2025, is part of a broader partnership between the National Theatre and the visiting German Theatre Group established earlier in October.

The initiative seeks to enhance international collaboration and build technical capacity within Ghana’s performing arts sector.
The training focuses on upgrading staff skills in stage design, lighting, sound management, set construction, and production techniques.
Combining theory and hands-on practice, participants are gaining exposure to modern European theatre technologies and sustainable stage management methods.

This initiative marks a major step in strengthening the foundation of technical theatre production in Ghana, allowing participants to explore innovative concepts and refine their craft to meet international standards.
Beyond skills development, the programme fosters cross-cultural collaboration, encouraging creative exchange between Ghanaian and German professionals in stagecraft and production design.
