Accra Ubuntu Lions Club has impacted some 500,000 Ghanaians 5 years after its establishment, celebrating a milestone of dedicated humanitarian service, leadership, and community impact across Ghana.
Chartered on December 24, 2020, the club has focused on design and implementing projects in education, health, water, and sanitation among other sectors, targeted at the underprivileged in society.
The Club President 2025-2026, Lion Frederick Kwahene, explained that the Accra Ubuntu Lions Club has dotted impactful projects across the country “from Klikor to Bawku and many communities in between.”

“The club attributes this milestone to the dedication and commitment of its members, whose collective efforts have positively impacted the lives of over 500,000 people across Ghana”, he stated in a communique copied to myjoyonline.com.
He mentioned the mechanised boreholes in Memordzi, Fumadorkope, and Sikor communities in the North Tongu District as some of the most significant and impactful projects undertaken over the last 5 years.
“Among the club’s most notable achievements is the mechanisation of boreholes for the Memordzi, Fumadorkope, and Sikor communities in the Foreign Minister Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa’s North Tongu Constituency, providing sustainable access to clean water for residents”, he said.

In the health sector, the Club contributes to reducing malnutrition among children in the enclave of the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital in Accra by refurbishing the hospital’s Malnutrition Centre and Skills Shed.
“The club has also adopted the Diabetic Clinic at the 37 Military Hospital, periodically providing essential resources to support patient care.
“The club has further undertaken regular awareness programmes on vision health, diabetes, childhood cancer, and environmental sustainability, reinforcing its commitment to preventive healthcare and education”, he stressed.
In commemoration of its 5th anniversary, Accra Ubuntu Lions Club is once again celebrating through service.
On December 24, 2025, the club is partnering with Strongwoman Changemaker Africa (SWOCA) Foundation to provide hot cooked meals to children living on the streets around Atomic Junction.
