Aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser and former MP for Dormaa West, Ali Maiga Halidu, has called on NPP delegates to vote for a competent and grassroots person to organise the party to win power in the 2028 general elections.
Addressing a press conference to declare his bid to contest and be elected National Organiser, Ali Halidu argued that the NPP needs a strong grassroots person to ginger the party at all levels of its organisation - from the polling station to national.
Ali Maiga Halidu said as a team player, he comes to the race with the skills and experience needed at this critical moment of the party’s development and entreated NPP delegates to vote massively for him to help Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to win power for NPP.
MP for Atiwa West who doubles as former Deputy Finance Minister, Abena Osei Asare called on NPP delegates to vote for Ali Halidu since he has vast experience in politics and has paid his dues through the ranks.
She pointed out that every NPP MP who knows Halidu agrees he is the man for the job.
