Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, H.E. Sabah Zita Benson, has met with British-Ghanaian engineer and technology entrepreneur, Danny Manu, to explore opportunities for collaboration aimed at driving innovation and youth empowerment in Ghana.
Danny Manu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mymanu, a Manchester-based technology company at the forefront of communication innovation.
He is best known as the inventor of the world’s first true wireless earbuds that offer real-time translation in more than 40 languages, a breakthrough that has gained international recognition.

Welcoming the engagement, H.E. Benson commended Manu for his global impact and described his success as a testament to the vital role of the Ghanaian diaspora in national development.
“Diaspora innovators such as Danny Manu represent a powerful bridge between Ghana and global technological advancement, particularly in areas that create jobs and build skills for our youth,” she said.
Mr Manu, an award-winning innovator recognised by Google as one of the world’s inspirational business leaders, was recently honoured in the Young Excellence category at the Diaspora Summit 2025.

He expressed enthusiasm about contributing to Ghana’s development agenda, stating that “Ghana presents exciting opportunities for technology-driven solutions that can address real-world challenges while empowering young people through skills and employment.”
The discussions also focused on future initiatives in Ghana, including potential partnerships in technology, education and youth development.

Both parties expressed optimism that sustained collaboration between government and diaspora entrepreneurs would help foster innovation, strengthen human capital, and support Ghana’s long-term economic transformation.
